I'm sure the double drops will bring some people back. Greed is human nature. The question is whether they'll stay.

And I'll be there too, with the rest of the WTB crowd.

To the so called "hardcore" players...

You complain that people whine about GoA and yet that is the very thing you all did previous to GoA.

WAAA GW is to easy!
WAAA make GW harder! WAAAA

Well BOOHOO, like you tell everyone now if it's to hard don't play it.
You should have taken your own advice and NOT played such an easy game or whined about it. Then
the rest of us would still have a FUN game without YOUR whining!

STOP YOUR whining and go play another game!

Now with that out of my system...
I actually couldn't care less if GoA is hard or not, it just annoyed me to see the so called hardcores
complaining about people whining when that is ALL they did previous to this fiasco.
Actually, they are still whining only now they are whining about other people whining.
In a few months they will no doubt be whining about GoA being to easy.
Congrats A-net you created yet another never ending loop of whine. YAY!

I don't understand why the number of districts would matter. This is an elite area, made for the top % of people. The items from the ambrace will be valued high providing the skins are desirable. This is where the skilled players will be able to make money by questing. The fewer the districts, the fewer people farming it, the more everything will be worth. The only downside to this is that people like you won't have ease of access to the skins, oh well, thats how it goes. About time skilled pve'rs got rewarded for doing what they do best.

I think what im more concerned about is....are those special weapons actually GOOD looking that someone will be willing to buy it. Or will their value be based solely on the fact that they are so hard to get?

Having a rare item thats not desirable sucks!

I think Aezix is a troll account.....

Nice update for those who wants to buy gems, or those who are actually playing it, even if a few out of this small amount are complaining.
Maybe I'll be part of them in the future, as i don't really feel to pay for gemstones.

Anyway, the majority of players will only notice that razah is still trapped in there.
And when Anet will announce chapter 4 and his elite mission, the majority will want to know beforehand if they'll actually be able to play it, I believe

That's an interesting assumption. You should really do a search of my posts before you call me a complainer. I didn't complain a single timeeven before Nightfall was released that GW is too easy and entirely henchable. Oh... I know all the people that complained, that they didn't play with real people anymore. Unfortunately for you I wasn't one of them. People that complained about heroes and Nightfall being "too easy" were zinger314, gli, and the others still complaining in this very thread about DoA being "too hard".

Get your facts straight. I haven't complained about DoA being too hard a single time.

Oh? Lotsof people spend thousands of hours to get FoW. Tormented Weapons = oldskool FoW weapons, in terms of rarity/prestige (prestige is what the oldskool thing refers to)

So are you intenting to make any end game areas for the majority of players.

That statement seems kinda dumb to me ?

Thanks ANet for not making the area easier, but increase the rewards instead. That's the way to go, IMO.

What exactly do you have in mind? A farming area with foes of moderate difficulty who drop great loot? A "cash machine" area for the average cookie cutter solo farming build? I really hope that ANet do not intend to add such an area!

Oh ... wait a second ... they already have. Most of the game fits that description.

Recently, whatever ANet do, most people seem to complain. If ANet make the game easier, people whine about "nerfing". If ANet make the game harder, people whine about "nerfing" too. If ANet make the game different in any way, balancing it or even if they add great free stuff, people mostly whine and bítch like little crybabies. Maybe it's just a vocal minority, but they really make me want to not read fansite forums any more.

yea because sorrows sucked so much, cant understand why its STILL fairly popular.

Sorry but like it or lump it thats just what ALOT of people want, i dont know why it seems so strange to cater to a large number of players because a few people dont want it.

I want hard challenging areas, i also want sorrow areas, because there always easy to get groups and have a quick bash at, hard areas need a little more dedication.

Sorry but intentionally designing your end game area for the minority just dosnt make sense, but im not saying we cant have both.

This is so true. I'm somewhat guilty of this, myself. I've been advocating the introduction of some major changes with the next release, to keep the game interesting. However, there is a good chunk of forumites that are advocating the exact opposite - a return to "how things were in Prophecies". It's a mixed message from fans, but the reality is either things must change, or they must stay the same. Which is better?

I'm pretty happy about this, GJ, Anet. 15 (of each) gems seems a lot more reasonable, while still being pretty difficult to obtain. As others have said, this is pretty much FoW armor-equivalent weapons. I'm fine with that. Unlike FoW armor, I actually want to acquire a few of these, so I might just have a nice goal, now.

I do really wish they would free Razah from his god forsaken gem prison already. He doesn't smell like an Elite reward to me, but rather an 'end-game' hero.

The real problem isn't the low rate drops, it's basically the low number of people actually doing DoA that makes Gem's a gold sink. So basically they haven't done anything special.
